Dermatest rated the tolerability as “excellent” after 4 weeks of use morning and evening. A 21st participant stopped after one week because of irritation. In the instrumental study 19 of 20 had no reactions, while one developed redness and a rash and stopped. The cream contains fruit acids, so test it on a small area first if you have sensitive skin.

Sensitive skin?
Start with evenings only, and increase to morning and evening when your skin tolerates it. If your skin gets irritated, take a break for a few days.
The cream contains AHAs, which make the skin more sensitive to sun. Use a high-factor sunscreen every day, and avoid sunbathing.

Questions and answers
Can sensitive skin on the neck and chest tolerate this cream?
The cream is fragrance-free, and Dermatest rated the tolerability as “excellent”. It contains fruit acids, so it may tingle a little the first few times. In each of the two studies, one participant had a reaction and stopped. If you have sensitive skin, test it on a small area first and start with evenings only.
How often should I use it?
Morning and evening. If your skin is sensitive, start with evenings only and increase when your skin tolerates it.
Can I use it with retinol or vitamin C?
Yes, but don’t layer several strong acid or retinol products on the same area on the same evening. Alternate evenings instead, and use vitamin C in the morning.
Why do I need sunscreen?
AHAs loosen dead skin cells, which makes the skin more sensitive to sun. Use a high-factor sunscreen every day while using the cream, and avoid sunbathing.
When can I expect to notice something?
Right after the first application, 95 % said their skin felt soft. Firmness was measured after 8 weeks: 17 % firmer skin on average, and 17 of 18 improved.
Can I use it on my face?
It is made and tested for the neck and décolletage. For the face we recommend Firming Face Cream.
