Tolerated “excellently” at Dermatest.

The dermatologists found no relevant skin reactions in the 20 who completed the study, and Dermatest rated the tolerability as “excellent”. A 21st participant developed redness, itching and dry skin and stopped after one week. The dermatologists considered it most likely due to the acid content of the products tested together. A tingle or redness right after applying is common and usually fades within an hour.

Morning and evening on the face and décolletage for 4 weeks under dermatological supervision, in a study where several LNDA+LAB products were used one after another. Percentages are the share who answered “strongly agree” or “tend to agree”. A 21st participant developed redness, itching and dry skin and stopped after one week. The dermatologists considered it most likely due to the acid content.

Self-assessment right after applying in the routine study at an independent cosmetic testing institute (report F/24189/07, 2023). 20 women aged 39–73 answered questions about Daily Exfoliation Lotion 10 % AHA after the first application, used together with the other products in the routine. A cotton pad or your fingertips for face, neck and décolletage after cleansing.

How to start

2–3 evenings a week for the first weeks. Increase when your skin tolerates it. Let it absorb before serum and cream.

Does it tingle?

A slight tingle or redness right after applying is common. If your skin gets irritated, take a break for a few days.

AHAs make the skin more sensitive to sun. Use sunscreen every day while using the lotion.

Questions and answers

Can sensitive skin tolerate 10 % AHA?

Dermatest rated the tolerability as “excellent”, but a tingle or slight redness right after applying is common. If you have sensitive skin, start with 2–3 evenings a week and increase gradually.

How often should I use it?

Start with 2–3 evenings a week. In the study it was used morning and evening for four weeks. Increase when your skin tolerates it.

In which order do I use it?

After cleansing, before serum, oil and cream. In the routine study it was used after Daily Exfoliation Wash 10 % AHA and before Multi-Vitamin Face Oil.

Can I use it with retinol?

Not on the same evening at first. Alternate evenings until you know how your skin reacts.

Why do I need sunscreen?

AHAs loosen dead skin cells, which makes the skin more sensitive to sun. Use sunscreen every day while using the lotion.
