The dermatologists found no relevant skin reactions in the 20 who completed the study, and Dermatest rated the tolerability as “excellent”. A 21st participant developed redness, itching and dry skin and stopped after one week. The dermatologists considered it most likely due to the acid content of the products tested together. It may tingle a little the first few times.

  1. Dermatest GmbH, Münster (study no. 2301178025, Mar–Apr 2023). 20 women aged 41–64, all skin types. Morning and evening on the face and décolletage for 4 weeks under dermatological supervision, in a study where several LNDA+LAB products were used one after another. Percentages are the share who answered “strongly agree” or “tend to agree”. A 21st participant developed redness, itching and dry skin and stopped after one week. The dermatologists considered it most likely due to the acid content.
  2. Self-assessment right after applying in the routine study at an independent cosmetic testing institute (report F/24189/07, 2023). 20 women aged 39–73 answered questions about Daily Exfoliation Wash 10 % AHA after the first application, used together with the other products in the routine. Percentages are the share who answered “yes” or “rather yes”.

How much

1–2 pumps on dry or slightly damp skin.

How

Massage in for 30–60 seconds, avoid the eye area, and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water.

Sensitive skin?

Start with every other evening and increase when your skin tolerates it. It may tingle a little the first few times.

The wash contains AHA, which makes the skin more sensitive to sun. Use sunscreen during the day.

Questions and answers

Can sensitive skin tolerate a wash with 10 % AHA?

Dermatest rated the tolerability as “excellent”. It may tingle a little the first few times. If you have sensitive skin, start with every other evening and increase when your skin tolerates it.

Should I use it in the morning or evening?

In the study it was used morning and evening. Start with evenings, and add mornings when your skin is used to it.

Can I use it with Daily Exfoliation Lotion 10 % AHA?

Yes. In the routine study the wash was used first, then the lotion, Multi-Vitamin Face Oil and the cream. Take it slowly if you are new to acids.

Why do I need sunscreen?

AHAs loosen dead skin cells, which makes the skin more sensitive to sun. Use sunscreen during the day while using the wash.
